In approximately one month, the WTC Rotterdam will be the location for career opportunities in the maritime, offshore and energy industry. The Maritime & Offshore Career Event (MOCE) 2018 welcomes various companies from the industry who are looking for new talent and experienced professionals. The inland shipping sector will also be present. Visiting the event on the 28th of March is free of charge through www.MOCE.biz.
Looking for qualified personnel
The inland shipping sector transported about 368 million tons of goods on the Dutch waters. A growth of almost 5% compared to 2007. Despite this growth, it's difficult for entrepeneurs to find qualified personnel. Too bad, because the sector has an adventurous character. One of the reasons why companies such as Chemgas Barging, Koole Terminals, Swets Group and U-boss present themselves at MOCE. They want to make visitors enthousiastic for the inland shipping sector and show the career opportunities this industry has to offer.
The fact that there is a large demand for personnel in inland shipping shows at the inland shipping pavilion, which can be found for the first time at MOCE on the exhibition floor. In cooperation with Bureau Voorlichting Binnenvaart (BVB) present various inland shipping parties such as Wijgula, Qua Vadis, thyssenkrupp Veerhaven and TOS themselves to visitors.
Much more than just an exhibition floor
Besides the presence of various inland shipping parties and the inland shipping pavilion there's a lot more to experience when it comes to careers on MOCE. Companies from the entire supply-chain are represented on the 28th of March. Besides that, parallel to the exhibition floor, a conference program is presented. Visitors can participate in different case studies that challenges them to tackle a current or fictitious problem that a company presents. Also; Community Square: 'the place for a great conversation' is back on the exhibition floor. Together with professionals from the industry, MOCE invites the public to join the conversation about various themes, such as maritime gamechangers that will radically change the industry, the North Sea and the energy transition.
